by Slidin Fast inthe chelmsford project in the uk has already come to a halt and every one has been sent home.
the bethel family in london is to be cut by several hundred.

Evidently the Bronze Age desert god never got the message from Jesus about counting the cost before building a tower. -

Brooklyn Layoffs and Halt to Kingdom Hall construction projects
by James Jack ina good source just just told me that at morning worship today that the governing body announced that a total of 1600 bethelites will be let get go and not transferred to warwich when the last property is sold in brooklyn and all kingdom hall building projects are on hold for at least a year so that all the focus will be on the preaching work.

Thanks for sharing this info. Schadenfreude isn't usually "my thing", but seeing these cutbacks at WT Corp just made my good day even better.
So very glad that I'm not stuck in that WT hellhole anymore. I'm sad for those still stuck in that mess. The self-righteous GB 2.0 are idiots. I saw that with my own eyes. Those GB stooges should be the ones kicked out to be pioneers.

Wow, thanks for posting this!
"If something is working, don't mess with it." This clearly indicates that the meetings, magazines, and publications aren't "working".
Cutting the ragazines in half again? It must not be making any revenue for the Corp and most of the sheeple probably aren't reading them. After they reduced the frequency to monthly, then reduced the number of pages in each by half, did that fix those problems? Nope. Will this halving of the production improve revenue and readership? Nope. Next step will be to cut the size in half again to Readers Digest sized pages. I really don't think they qualify to be called "magazines" as it is. They should be called minizines or tractazines.
Time to change up the midweek meeting? Looks like an attempt to try to get the sheeples excited about the changes. They're just slapping a fresh coat of paint on the Titanic.

Has the Great Witness Trolley/Cart campaign produced ANY results?
by freddo ini live between two cities that are big enough to have their own metropolitan trolley cart arrangements organised at circuit level.
the 3 congregations at the hall i attend have trolley schedule noticeboards.
i see trolleys in the high streets and markets locally.

I'm in a metropolitan area and see them from time to time. They're usually chatting with each other, not bothered by any "interested persons".
I assume they believe they are giving a "mute witness", like rocks NOT crying out. Or maybe they think they are somehow relevant by being there with a trolley. Looks like an easy way to count some time. For a supposedly "life-saving message" with "end coming soon" urgency, it all looks very boring and lazy.

Wasn't that in the book "Revelation - It's Bland Climax at Hand!"?
I don't see it on their website. After all the fuss they make in that book about how those Cedar Point crapventions 80 or so years ago were trumpet blasts that Christendom could never ignore. It sure makes it easier for "the world" to ignore "WT's fulfillment of bible prophecy" when WT Corp makes publications like that disappear.

It's typically horrible WT artwork.
Conceptually, I was troubled by the notion presented here that after 1000 years of "perfection in paradise", such a vast majority of humans would jump at this chance at throwing off "divine rulership" and return to "following the rebellious course of Satan".
"Paradise" must actually be so disappointing and unhappifying that very few would choose to "stay by the water".
Any guesses what the "rebels" are chanting? I'm thinking, "Give us back our hamburgers and Internet porn!"

Welcome!
we received a text from the elders to say they believed we were celebrating Christmas ( I think the lights on the outside of my house gave it away)!!!
Did the lights outside your house happen to spell out something like... "Thank you Santa for helping me escape from an abusive cult!" ?

You have to be strong
by troubled mind instanding up for yourself, and deciding to follow your own path takes strength .
you have to be strong especially if you were raised in a way of life that dictated so much of who you were .
while being raised as a jehovah's witness i was taught to follow ,unquestionally follow .i was told to put others before myself ,serve, don't stand out ,don't be independent .

you know they were very hurt when you left the Witnesses ,and I was really hurt too !
All things considered, that's some ridiculously low pain tolerance. Translation: "Well I'm hurt that you didn't keep wasting your life doing sh!t that I don't waste my time doing."
And as a JW is wasn't just wasting time and energy trying to make other people happy. It was also wasting time and energy, passing up opportunities for education and relationships, etc. in order to make an invisible Bronze Age desert god happy. A fictional sky-daddy that is never, ever happy.
